Who Needs to Attend?

​

Beginners:

First-time racers with no prior competitive experience.

​

Returning Riders:

Those who have not raced for an extended period and need to revalidate their skills.

​

 

NOTE:

Because we did not have a Drag Race for a while, we are recommending everyone to attend the assessment day.

Scrutening

 

In motorcycle racing, scrutineering (often called "tech inspection" or "scrutineering check") is the official technical inspection process that ensures all motorcycles and riders comply with the rules and safety standards of the event or championship. It is a mandatory step before a rider is allowed to participate in practice, qualifying, or races.

 

What Happens During Scrutineering?

1. Motorcycle Inspection

​

• Safety Equipment:  The bike is checked for essential safety features Technical

​

• Compliance: The bike must meet the technical regulations of the specific racing class. 

 

2. Rider Gear Inspection

• Helmet

• Leathers

• Gloves

• Boots

• Back Protector

• Chest Protector

3. Documentation Check

​

• Race Licence

• Entry Form and forms

​

​

Why Is Scrutineering Important?

​

• Safety: 

  Ensures all bikes and riders meet minimum safety standards to reduce the risk of accidents or injuries.

• Fair Competition: 

  Confirms that no bike has illegal modifications that could provide an unfair advantage.

• Regulation Compliance: 

  Ensures the event follows the rules set by the organising body. 

 

What Happens if a Bike or Rider Fails?

​

The rider will not be allowed to participate until the issue is fixed.

​

Common failures include:

• Leaking fluids

• Non-compliant tyres or leathers

• Missing or expired documentation

• Noise levels exceeding limits

 

When Does Scrutineering Take Place?

​

• Usually on the morning of the event.

​

How to enter the WCMCC Drag Race 2026 as a WCMCC affiliated club member With a Race Licence

1. Signin on the WCMCC website with your account. 

2. Have all your documents prepared so you can upload them during the inscription (race licence).

3. Fill out the form

4. Date, sign and acknowledge terms and conditions

5. Make payments using available options

6. Race secretary will review application form

Non-race licence holder ( "H" licence required)* 

How to enter the WCMCC Drag Race 2026 as a WCMCC affiliated club member without a race Licence

​

1. Signin on the WCMCC website with your account. 

2. Have all your documents prepared so you can upload them during the inscription Full A Motorcycle Driving Licence - both sides, a medical certificate, your "H" licence and membership certificate.

3. Fill out the form

4. Date, sign and acknowledge terms and conditions

5. Make payments using available options

6. Race secretary will review application form

Race licence holder (MCI affiliated club member) 

How to enter the WCMCC Drag Race 2026 as an MCI affiliated club member

​

1. Purchase a day membership on WCMCC website

2. Signin on the WCMCC website with your account 

3. Have all your documents prepared so you can upload them during the inscription Race Licence and day membership certificate.

4. Fill out the form

5. Date, Sign and acknowledge terms and conditions

6. Make payments using available options

7. Race secretary will review application form

Non-affiliated club members ( "H" licence required)* 

How to enter the WCMCC Drag Race 2026 as a non-affiliated club member

​

1. Purchase a day membership on WCMCC website

2. Signin on the WCMCC website with your account 

3. Have all your documents prepared so you can upload them during the inscription.  Full A Motorcycle Driving Licence - both sides, Medical Certificate, membership certificate and copy of "H" licence. 

4. Fill out the form

5. Date, Sign and acknowledge terms and conditions

6. Make payments using available options

7. Race secretary will review application form

A one event type "H" licence for hillclimb / drag race / sprint events may be granted to any person who holds a full Category "A" motorcycle EU/UK drivers’ licence (not an A2 or lower category).

Holder must have a current medical certificate, completed assessment day and must be over 18 years of age.
