West Cork Motorcycle Club is asking for all members and non members that would like to become members to attend the Extraordinary General Meeting.

Why? As all members know by now that the current WCMCC committee is standing down. They have been on the committee for the past 3 years and more and it is time for fresh new ideas and a new committee to be formed.

Plus the current committee need a well deserved rest.

If there is no new committee formed then the club will go into hibernation.

We have kept our members up to date with regards to Motorcycling Ireland and the hope of getting Insurance this year to cover all disciplines in Motorcycling.

You are probably wondering why does WCMCC need a committee if there is no insurance for any motorcycle event in Ireland.

We need to be prepared. If and when the Insurance issue is arranged we need to be ready to run events like the Drag Race and the Hillclimbs and have more fun events, riding our bikes and camping and living the dream.

It has been mentioned that the MCI may try to get insurance for Trials, Motorcross and other off road disciplines first and then try and get the Insurance for Road Racing and Short Circuit Racing. We need to be prepared and adapt.

We need all members to come to the extraordinary general meeting this Saturday. This is a very important meeting for the WCMC Club and as you may be thinking "sher I dont have the time, let someone else do it" or "I would not have a clue what to do in a committee".

The dream that there is a group of small people, like fairies going to appear and have magic wands & mirrors to run the club is not going to happen.

We need all members to get your fingers out and attend the meeting this Saturday 4th February.
